Court remands in custody man charged with attempted murder of 12-year-old

A district court in Zlín has remanded in custody a 25-year-old man who is charged with the attempted murder of a twelve-year-old boy from the Zlín region. The man, who was a neighbour and knew the child and his family well, abducted the boy on his way to school and held him in his cottage in a village not far from his home. Passers-by heard the boy calling for help and alerted the police. The child was missing for four days with police and hundreds of volunteers combing the countryside for him.
