President Pavel: Czech support for Ukraine should continue

President Petr Pavel has emphasized that the Czech Republic should maintain its support for Ukraine, not only for ideological reasons but also for practical ones. Speaking on a visit to the regions, the Czech head of state warned that stepping back would close the door to future cooperation on Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction. Calls to reassess Czech aid have come from the incoming ANO–SPD–Motorists government. On Tuesday, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Tomio Okamura (SPD) told reporters that his party wants to end all financial assistance to Ukraine, including the Czech ammunition initiative.
