Czech economy accelerates growth in the third quarter

The Czech economy expanded by 2.8 percent year-on-year in the third quarter, according to updated figures released by the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ). It is the fastest growth since mid-2022 and slightly above the initial estimate. Quarter-on-quarter, GDP increased by 0.8 percent. Statisticians say both domestic and foreign demand supported the improvement, with household spending contributing the most. “The updated estimate confirms the continued growth of the Czech economy,” said Vladimír Kermiet, head of the national accounts department.
