Prague airport handled nearly 8 percent more passengers this summer

Václav Havel Airport Prague served nearly 11.5 million passengers during this year’s summer season, a 7.7 percent increase compared to last year. The number of travelers, however, remained about three percent below the pre-pandemic level of 2019, said Jiří Vyskoč, the airport’s executive director for air business development. The number of destinations rose slightly, with the busiest routes to the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Turkey. Foreign passengers made up a little more than half of all travelers. During the upcoming winter season, the airport will offer flights to almost 130 destinations, including 15 new ones.
