Prague councillors to discuss new Zoo director and public space fees

Prague city councillors meet on Monday to discuss launching a selection process for a new director of Prague Zoo, one of the main tourist magnets of the city. The position became vacant after Miroslav Bobek resigned at the end of October following accusations of bullying and bossing, which he denied. The zoo is currently headed by Štěpán Kyjovský, head of the city’s environmental department, who has been appointed until the end of November. Deputy Mayor Jana Komrsková of the Pirate Party is to present the proposal to open the competition. Councillors will also debate an updated decree on public space usage fees, the selection of an auditor for the city-owned company Pražské služby, and a new accessibility concept for public toilets.
