Metro line C closed in central Prague this weekend, trams to replace service

Metro trains on Prague’s line C will not run in the city centre this weekend due to ongoing reconstruction work at Florenc station. Service between Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská will resume on Monday morning, the transport company said. During the closure, replacement trams on line XC will run from Hlavní nádraží via Masarykovo nádraží, Bílá labuť, Vltavská, Strossmayerovo náměstí and Letenské náměstí to Špejchar. The ceiling repair at Florenc, underway since 2022, has caused several previous closures. The project should be completed by the end of next year.
