Zdena Salivarová Škvorecká honoured with State Prize for literature

The state Prize for Literature has been  awarded to the writer and publisher Zdena Salivarová Škvorecká, who passed away in August at the age of 91 in Canada. The award honors the co-founder of Sixty-Eight Publishers for her lifelong dedication to Czech literature and its development.

The state Prize for Translation went to Anežka Charvátová, a translator from Spanish, Italian, and French. The ceremony, along with six other Culture Ministry awards, took place at the Estates Theatre in Prague.
