LUSTR festival of illustration and comics underway in Prague

The twelfth edition of the LUSTR festival of illustration and comics is underway at Prague’s Holešovice Market. Running from September 19 until September 28, the festival brings together leading names in Czech and international illustration.

This year’s main exhibition, New Forms of Sensitivity, explores themes of subtlety, intimacy and honesty. The traditional showcase presents work by more than 60 authors and collectives chosen from over 500 entries worldwide, with a special section on Taiwanese illustrators curated by the Taiwan Illustration Fair.

The programme also features a retrospective of the legendary children’s book author and illustrator Daisy Mrázková, a Slovak Salon supporting artists affected by the cultural crisis in Slovakia, and an exhibition of works from the Illustration Symposium in Broumov. Visitors can also attend workshops, talks and debates with artists.
