Trosky Castle sees surge in visitors thanks to Kingdom Come

Nearly 3.4 million people visited state-owned castles, châteaux, and heritage sites managed by the National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) by the end of August, a year-on-year increase of six percent, the Institute reported. The most popular destinations remain the châteaux of Lednice, Český Krumlov, Hluboká nad Vltavou, and Karlštejn Castle. Close behind this year is Trosky Castle, which recorded one-third higher attendance compared to last year, a rise attributed to the popularity of the video game Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which was partly set there.
