Czech company builds Luxembourg’s first 3D-printed concrete house

Luxembourg has officially opened its first 3D-printed concrete house, built by Czech firm ICE Industrial Services from Žďár nad Sázavou in the village of Niederanven.

The compact home was printed in just 27 and a half hours, though the full project stretched to about ten weeks due to formalities and visits. It offers around 50 square metres of space, including a kitchen, living area, bathroom and a flexible room.

Local officials say the project marks an important step for the future of construction and could help ease housing shortages as well as labour gaps in the building industry.
