Minor earthquakes recorded in Central Bohemia

Two minor earthquakes were recorded in Central Bohemia on Monday. The first, with a preliminary magnitude of 2.5 on the Richter scale, struck shortly after noon near the village of Klučenice in the Příbram district. A slightly stronger tremor of 2.6 followed in the afternoon. The Institute of Earth Physics at Masaryk University in Brno, which monitors seismic activity, reported the events on Facebook and asked residents who felt the tremors to complete a questionnaire on the Czech Academy of Sciences’ Geophysical Institute website.
