Coldest morning of summer hits Czechia with frost records

Sunday morning was the coldest of this summer in Czechia. Fourteen out of 169 stations with more than 30 years of measurements recorded a new August minimum, and about half saw a record low for August 24. In some places temperatures dropped below zero, with ground frost reported mainly in western and southern Bohemia and in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, according to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) on Facebook.
