Tennis association ordered to repay CZK 77 million over subsidy fraud under former chief Kaderka

The Czech Tennis Association must repay more than CZK 77 million to the state over subsidy misuse dating back to former chairman Ivo Kaderka’s tenure. The sum includes a CZK 24.7 million payment ordered by the tax office for 2021 and a new CZK 52.5 million demand from the National Sports Agency for 2022–2023. Current chairman Jakub Kotrba called the situation “extremely serious” and said the association might use its central court at Prague’s Štvanice as collateral, but ruled out selling it. The association disputes the amounts, arguing the tournaments in question took place and benefited Czech tennis.
