Veleslavín Chateau fails to sell in seventh auction

The state has once again failed to sell Veleslavín Chateau, despite holding its seventh electronic auction. A bidder registered, but placed no offer within the allotted time, the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs (ÚZSVM) said in a press release on Thursday. The starting price was set at 299 million crowns.

The Veleslavín Chateau, complete with a historic park, covers three hectares and dates back to around 1725. It was designed by architect Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer for Empress Amalia of Brunswick.
