Constitutional Court upholds complaint of father of victim of Faculty of Arts shooting 

The Czech Constitutional Court has upheld the complaint of the father of one of the victims of the 2023 shooting at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, made against the General Inspectorate of the Security Forces. The court agreed that the inspectorate made a mistake when it did not allow the father to view the official file.

The father of the victim wanted to know how the inspectorate had checked the police's procedure during the intervention at the faculty. The Constitutional Court upheld his complaint on Tuesday, and emphasised that the relatives of the victims have the right to information from the investigation conducted by the Inspectorate of the Security Forces.
