Czech politicians on significance of Trump-Putin meeting on Friday

Czech politicians are divided in their assessment of the significance of the upcoming Friday meeting between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. While Radek Vondráček, deputy chairman of the opposition ANO movement, sees the talks in Alaska as a unique opportunity to end or at least pause the exhausting war, Jan Bartošek (Spolu), deputy speaker of the Chamber, and Helena Langšádlová (Spolu), a member of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee, do not have high expectations so far.
