Tourism figures show positive trend in second quarter, say experts

Czech tourism continued to recover in the second quarter of 2025, with analysts and industry representatives highlighting a steady rise in both arrivals and overnight stays. According to the Czech Statistical Office, around 6.3 million tourists stayed in hotels, guesthouses, and campsites—5.6% more year-on-year. Experts welcomed the growth across all regions, though they noted an overreliance on neighbouring markets. CzechTourism director František Reismüller pointed to growing interest from countries like Turkey, Greece, and Japan. The average stay remains low at 2.4 nights, but tourism is once again contributing to economic growth.
