Czechs support Ukraine’s national day at Expo 2025 with message of educational resilience

Czechia joined other European nations in supporting Ukraine’s national day at Expo 2025 in Osaka, highlighting solidarity through a panel discussion on the role of education in wartime. The event, hosted in the Czech Pavilion, featured personal stories of Ukrainian students and teachers overcoming the challenges of war, including learning in shelters and online. Commissioner Ondřej Soška emphasized the shared historical experience between Czechs and Ukrainians, praising education as an act of defiance and hope. The discussion was organized with Ukrainian NGO Osvitoria and attended by senior Ukrainian officials and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
