Commemoration of architect Letzel and atomic bombing of Hiroshima In Náchod

A tea offering ceremony was held on Wednesday in Náchod to honor the memory of architect Jan Letzel, who designed the Industrial Palace in Hiroshima, Japan, and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing. Letzel’s building was the only one to withstand the atomic blast over Hiroshima. The commemorative gathering at the grave of Náchod-born Letzel was also attended by the Japanese Ambassador to Czechia, Kansuke Nagaoka, according to town hall spokesperson Nina Adlof.
