Gen Digital: Fake pharmacies are on the rise, Czechia also at risk

Researchers at Gen Digital, a leader in cybersecurity and provider of Avast products, have uncovered over 5,000 fake pharmacy websites that offer highly sought-after prescription drugs. Gen Digital has blocked a million attacks originating from these websites, with Czechia being the eighth most vulnerable country in the world. According to their analysis, fraudulent sites promote highly sought-after, embarrassing or risky drugs. These include, for example: erectile dysfunction drugs, weight loss and diabetes drugs, hormones and steroids. Fake pharmacy websites are convincing, with sophisticated design and customer service.
