Playdough marked "Semtex" sparks large-scale police operation in Moravian forest

A package labeled "Semtex" found by children near the village of Dzbel in the Prostějov region triggered a large-scale police response on Sunday. The object, discovered during a summer camp outing, was initially feared to be a real explosive.

However, a bomb disposal expert called to the scene quickly determined that the suspicious item was nothing more than a harmless playdough mock-up, a leftover prop from previous camp games.

Kids at the camp practiced defusing playdough 'traps' as part of their fun activities. This particular one was never recovered and remained in the forest," a police spokesperson explained.
