Court acquits defendants in Holocaust-questioning book case

The Brno Municipal Court on Thursday acquitted all defendants in the case of the publication of Germar Rudolf's book ‘The Holocaust under the Microscope’, which questions the facts about the Holocaust and denies its criminality. The state prosecutor had accused four people and three publishing houses of participating in an organised criminal group and denying genocide.

According to judge Barbora Sýkorová, the court based its decision primarily on the conclusions of several experts, who, according to her, did not support the prosecution’s case. According to the experts, the defendants did not write the books, but only published them, with additions. The decision is not final, and the public prosecutor has launched an appeal.
