Czech financial literacy improves slightly, young adults show biggest progress
Financial literacy among Czechs has slightly improved this year, according to the latest index from the Czech Banking Association. The score rose by one point year-on-year, reaching 57 out of 100.
People over 50 and those with higher education achieved the best results, while the biggest improvement was seen in the 18–34 age group. The findings are based on a July survey conducted by the association and Ipsos, involving over 1,000 respondents.
Despite showing the most progress, young adults—along with those with only basic education or vocational training—still scored the lowest overall. Men tend to be more confident in financial matters, yet nearly one in five respondents admit to often feeling unsure, and five percent say they don’t understand finance at all.
