Colours of Ostrava seen as success, new director announced

The 22nd edition of Colours of Ostrava is coming to a close in the industrial area of Dolní Vítkovice. Organizers describe this year’s festival as highly successful. This year marked a generational shift as co-founder Zlata Holušová steps down. According to Filip Košťálek, who will become the new program director, the festival again blended genres and generations in one of its most dynamic programs ever. Attendance exceeded last year’s numbers. Headliners in the final part included The Chainsmokers, with other acts such as J.A.R., Jana Kirschner, Sofi Tukker and DPR Ian. Advance ticket sales for the 2026 festival have already begun.
