MFA wants to continue aid programme for Ukraine

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pushing for the government to secure money for the programme for humanitarian, stabilisation, reconstruction and economic aid to Ukraine in the coming years. In the years 2023 to 2025, 500 million crowns were allocated for it, but an extension of the programme must be approved by the government.

After a meeting of the government, Finance Minister Zbyněk Stanjura said that the continuation of the programme is a priority for the cabinet and that it will be taken into account in the budget proposal for next year. "It is a priority of the government, not just one department," said Mr. Stanjura. He stated that the program is also beneficial for Czech companies, so it is also a matter of supporting the Czech economy.
