Hradec Králové man who seriously injured his child is charged with murder

A man from Hradec Králové who seriously injured his five-month-old son has been charged with murder. After being hospitalised, the child later died from the injuries. The police have reclassified the man's actions based on the results of an expert report, police spokeswoman Martina Jandová told ČTK on Friday.

The 36-year-old man was originally charged with grievous bodily harm by the police. If found guilty, he now faces up to twenty years in prison for murder. The case occurred in the Hradec Králové region, first reported by the police in the spring.
