Thirteen-year-old boy electrocuted by voltage line on stationary railcar

A thirteen-year-old boy was killed by high voltage power lines after climbing onto a stationary railcar with a friend while on a summer camp in Račice, north Bohemia. The other boy only suffered minor injuries and shock. The authorities have warned about the danger of such activities saying that the electrical current around high-voltage lines on rail tracks is so powerful a person can be electrocuted without actually touching an electric wire. Riding on the back of trams, on top of railcars and exploring stationary vehicles has become a popular sport with teenagers and police say the risk of such activities increases over the summer holidays.
