Construction work at upper end of Wenceslas Square expected to congest main motorway
Prague’s Public Transit Company (DPP) has announced that construction work to build a tram line connecting Vinohradská Street with the upper end of Wenceslas Square will begin on Saturday. At the same time, the city's Technical Road Administration will demolish the bridge and underpass beneath Legerova Street. Drivers have been warned to expect congestion on the main motorway which will be narrowed to two lanes. The work is expected to take twenty months, during which no trams will run between I. P.
