Government approves changes in quotas for foreign workers

The Czech government will adjust quotas for admitting foreign workers to Czechia as of July of this year, the ctk news agency reported. The change will affect 11 countries. The number of positions for experts will increase, while the number of visas for unskilled labor will be reduced. This year, the Czech Republic plans to admit 24 IT specialists from India, 650 highly qualified workers from China, and another 120 from other Asian countries. In contrast, a quota for 120 mostly low-skilled workers from Africa is to be eliminated.
