Opposition calls for resignation of the whole cabinet

Despite PM Petr Fiala's (Civic Democratic Party) efforts to calm political waters before the October elections, opposition parties are calling for more resignations. According to Pirate Party leaders, Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura (also Civic Democratic Party) should be replaced by non-partisan expert. Deputy Speaker Olga Richterová and MP Jakub Michálek criticized the appointment of Eva Decroix, citing alleged lobbying links. Tomio Okamura, leader of Party for Direct Democracy, said Blažek’s resignation is insufficient and called for the government's full resignation. Strongest opposition ANO Party is also leaning toward supporting a no-confidence vote, pending a special parliamentary session on Thursday.
