President Pavel congratulates Nawrocki, hopes Poland stays on pro-Western path

Czech President Petr Pavel congratulated Karol Nawrocki on winning Poland’s presidential election and expressed hope that the country will continue to pursue democratic and pro-Western values under his leadership. In a message posted on X, Pavel also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the Czech Republic and Poland. Nawrocki, representing the opposition Law and Justice party (PiS), narrowly defeated incumbent Rafał Trzaskowski of the ruling Civic Coalition, securing 50.9 percent of the vote according to final results reported by Polish media.
