Violin makers from Czechia and abroad to compete in Prague in early June

An international violin-making competition is set to take place at the Czech Museum of Music in Prague between June 3 and 7, bringing together around 40 luthiers from 12 countries. Founded in 1997 by Czech master luthier Jaromír Joo, the event encourages global exchange among violin makers and provides a platform to compare and refine their craft.

A unique feature of the competition is the scroll-carving discipline, inspired by Antonio Stradivari. Accompanying events, including lectures, concerts, and exhibitions, will be open to the public.
