Government to discuss further extension of state of emergency in Hustopeče nad Bečvou
On Wednesday, the government will decide again on the extension of the current state of emergency in effect in the area of Hustopeče nad Bečvou, following the benzene tanker accident near Přerov at the beginning of March.
Governor of the Olomouc region Ladislav Okleštěk expects that the state of emergency in the area will last for several more months. The measure allows for faster organisation of the remediation of contaminated soil and water. The government can only extend the special measure in the area by thirty days at a time.
