Convoy of Liberty draws record 400 historic military vehicles in Plzeň

Tens of thousands of spectators lined Klatovská Avenue in Plzeň on Sunday, waving Czech, American, and Belgian flags to welcome the annual Convoy of Liberty. Marking the 80th anniversary of Plzeň's liberation in World War II, a record-breaking parade of over 400 historic military vehicles traveled through the city, including legendary tanks like the M4 Sherman and Jackson. Special applause greeted 99-year-old Harry Humason, the only foreign WWII veteran present, and George Patton Waters, grandson of General Patton. The parade included authentic reenactments, civilian period vehicles, contemporary military vehicles, and flyovers by historic and modern aircraft.
