Rampula wins rapid fire pistol event at World Cup in Lima

Czech shooter Matěj Rampula secured his first individual World Cup victory in rapid fire pistol in Lima. The 25-year-old athlete, representing Dukla Plzeň, topped the qualification with 585 points and clinched gold in the finals with a decisive 30-27 victory over China's Su Lianbofan. Previously, Rampula's best individual result was second place, achieved two years ago, also in Lima. Germany's Christian Reitz, Olympic champion from Rio de Janeiro, finished third. Rampula’s success adds to earlier Czech achievements in Lima, where Jiří Přívratský won the three-position rifle event.
