Moravská Třebová wins title of Historic City of the Year 2024
Moravská Třebová has won the title of Historic City of the Year 2024, a reward for using money from the Ministry of Culture's programme for the restoration of monuments. The award, which includes a million crowns for further care of monuments, was received by the city’s Deputy Mayor Václav Dokoupil at the announcement in Prague today.
The competition is organised by the Association of Historical Settlements of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, together with the Ministries of Culture and Regional Development. They recognise the best use of subsidies from the Ministry of Culture's programmes for urban monument reserves and zones. This year, the jury selected fifteen cities in the final of the competition’s thirty-first year.
