Motol hospital scandal: police seize assets worth over CZK 100 million
Investigators in the corruption case involving Prague’s Motol University Hospital have seized assets from the accused exceeding CZK 100 million, following orders from the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutor Zdeňka Pavlásková confirmed the figure, which may yet rise, to Czech Radio. Police confiscated luxury items, properties, and vehicles, including assets belonging to former deputy director Pavel Budinský, who is suspected of being a key figure in the scheme. Former hospital director Miloslav Ludvík saw only his car seized so far. Both men, along with three others, remain in custody and have filed complaints against the asset seizures, which are now under court review.
