Vladimír Mišík, Kateřina Marie Tichá and Monkey Business win Anděl awards

Veteran of the Czech music scene Vladimír Mišík was named solo artist of the year at the 2024 Anděl music awards for his album Vteřiny, měsíce a roky (Seconds, months and years), which also won album of the year. The award for best female artist went to Kateřina Marie Tichá for her record Plamen, created with the band Bandjeez. Monkey Business claimed the title of group of the year with their first album in Czech, Když múzy mlčí. Rapper Viktor Sheen, who led the nominations, won in the rap category. Ivan Mládek was inducted into the Hall of Fame during the gala at Prague’s Výstaviště.
