Army summer training for high school graduates attracts over 800 applicants
The Czech Army will once again hold a summer training program for high school graduates aged 18 and over. Registration closed after just one week due to overwhelming interest, with more than 800 students signing up. Only about 500 will be accepted. Participants will undergo a four-week training course, receive around CZK 30,000, and become members of the military reserve. The program, first launched last summer, was deemed a success, prompting the army to expand capacity. Students will learn basic tactics, first aid, and weapon handling. Last year, 110 students completed the training.
