Czech Foreign Ministry calls for end to violence in Syria

The Czech Foreign Ministry has called for an end to the violence in Syria following recent massacres that resulted in over 1,000 deaths, including 745 civilians from the Alawite religious minority. The violence erupted after clashes between Syrian security forces and supporters of former President Bashar Assad. "We are deeply concerned about the ongoing violence in western Syria and the civilian casualties. We call on all parties to find a peaceful solution, national unity and political dialogue. The stability of the country depends on tolerance and coexistence among all communities," the ministry’s statement said.
