Firefighters still need to pump benzene from two tankers in Hustopeče nad Bečvou

Firefighters in Hustopeče nad Bečvou, in the Přerov region, have yet to pump toxic benzene from two of the 15 tankers damaged in a massive fire last Friday. They will continue the effort on Wednesday, according to Martin Kavka, a spokesman for the railway firefighters.

A special unit from Hlučín has dug 12 probes in the area between the railway line and the lake with the help of a crawler excavator to monitor potential groundwater contamination.
