Tankers fire not spreading, dozens of firefighters still intervening

The fire involving tankers carrying benzene near Hustopeče nad Bečvou in the Přerov region is now under control and has not spread further. Dozens of firefighters will continue working to extinguish it on Saturday, according to Radek Buryánek, spokesperson for the regional fire brigade.

The train, which was carrying tankers filled with highly toxic benzene, derailed before noon on Friday, causing the tankers to catch fire. The remaining benzene in the tankers is expected to be pumped out today.
