Czech PM to attend Starmer’s Ukraine summit

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host a Ukraine summit on Sunday, inviting over a dozen European leaders, including representatives from Czechia, Germany, France, and Italy, the AFP news agency reported. European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte will also attend the talks. Before the summit, Starmer will speak with the leaders of the Baltic states and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The meeting follows hard on the heels of Starmer’s talks with US President Donald Trump and a visit to the White House French President Emmanuel Macron. His office said the meeting would focus on "strengthening Ukraine's position, including ongoing military support and increased economic pressure on Russia." Czechia will be represented by Prime Minister Petr Fiala.
