Police warning against train and tram “surfing” by teenagers

The authorities are warning about the danger of train or tram “surfing”, which has gained increasing popularity among the young. The trend is fueled by challenges on social media both as regards trains and trams, Czech Television said, showing a video from South Moravia recently posted on social networks. Police warn that such behavior is extremely dangerous since the power lines carry up to 25,000 volts and that can jump to 1.5 meters. Last year two Czech teenagers died after train surfing on the Vienna subway.
