Firefighters battle 30-hour blaze in eastern Moravian Kelč

Nearly fifty firefighters fought a fire at a barn in the eastern-Moravian town of Kelč. The fire broke out in a large reinforced concrete building on Friday afternoon and wasn’t brought under control until Saturday night, after 30 hours of effort.

Fortunately, no injuries to people or animals were reported, though firefighters faced hazards from falling metal sheets and burning hay. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with damages estimated at 20 million crowns.
