NGOs and safety training could help against rise of violence in Czech schools

Czech schools are grappling with aggression, with recent discussions focused on bullying and cases of violence in Hodonín. On Friday, representatives from the Interior and Education ministries met to discuss school safety. The meeting addressed how to integrate preventive measures and crisis behavior protocols into schools.

Over the next 14 days, the state will present schools with several recommendations, including webinars, and update school regulations. Education Minister Mikuláš Bek also proposed mandatory safety training for teachers and staff, which would require changes to legislation.
