Milan Kundera’s remains brought back to his native Brno

The urns with the remains of literary great Milan Kundera and his wife Věra have returned from Paris to the writer's native Brno. They were brought to Brno by his publisher Antoine Gallimard, who is the executor of the couple's will, and the former Czech ambassador to Paris, Michal Fleischmann. On Friday, the couple’s remains were handed over to the mayor of Brno Marketa Vaňková and the director of the Moravian Library Tomáš Kubíček. Until the family grave is prepared, they will remain in the library, Kubíček said in a press release.
