Police detain student who threatened teacher with a gun

Several police patrols, including paramedics, intervened on Monday morning at Rudolfov Elementary School near České Budějovice where a pupil threatened his teacher with a gun. Although he pulled the trigger twice there was no shot and he was pacified by the teacher herself, who then called the police. The pupil was also alleged to have a knife and an axe in his possession. Police officers detained him and a psychological intervention team was called to the school, the police said on the X network. It is not the first case of school violence against a teacher in this country. In 2022 a student in Prague killed his teacher with a machete over bad grades.
