Defense minister: Czechia has provided massive aid to war-stricken Ukraine
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Czech Republic has provided the invaded country with military material worth CZK 7.3 billion, Defense Minister Jana Černochová told journalists on Friday. As a donor, coordinator or organizer, Czechia has participated in deliveries worth more than CZK 71.8 billion (roughly three billion US dollars). According to Černochová, the Czech army and defense industry have supplied Ukraine with more than 1,600 pieces of military equipment and millions of pieces of ammunition of all calibers. "We have trained more than 7,000 Ukrainian soldiers both in the Czech Republic and in Poland. This is over ten percent of the total volume trained by the European Union missions," the minister added.
