Slovak singer Adam Pavlovčin (ADONXS) to represent Czechia at Eurovision
Czechia will be represented at the international Eurovision Song Contest next year by Slovak singer Adam Pavlovčin, who performs under the stage name ADONXS. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter, model and dancer is known not only for being the most recent winner of the show ‘Czech Slovak SuperStar’, but also for his distinctive style of visual presentation. The upcoming edition of the international contest will be hosted in May by Switzerland, in the city of Basel, following the victory of Swiss musician Nemo with the song ‘The Code’ at the contest in 2024.
In 2022, ADONXS received the Singer of the Year and Musical Discovery awards from the largest Czech-Slovak radio station Evropa 2, was included in the Forbes 30 under 30 list, and released his debut album ‘Age of Adonxs’. His selection as the Czech representative went through several phases, involving a ten-member foreign jury of professionals and former Eurovision representatives, quantitative research with more than nine hundred respondents, and a focus group. The semi-finals and finals of Eurovision will be broadcast on the ČT1 channel.
